Communicating where
trust matters most.
Healthcare communications isn't just about sharing information. It's about building trust with patients, families, employees, volunteers, partners, and communities—often during moments that matter most.
Over the past several years, I've developed communication strategies, campaigns, stories, and digital experiences that help healthcare and wellness organizations engage people with clarity, empathy, and purpose.

Building trust across Alberta and British Columbia through strategic communications, storytelling, photography, video, and integrated digital campaigns.
How I helped
As Digital Content & Social Media Specialist, I developed and executed integrated communications that supported organizational priorities across multiple channels. My work included campaign planning, social media strategy, photography, video production, copywriting, website content, internal storytelling, and employer branding. Working closely with communications, operations, and leadership teams, I helped translate everyday moments into stories that informed, inspired, and strengthened trust.
Selected Work
Impact
My work helped strengthen Good Samaritan's digital presence through consistent, human-centred storytelling that celebrated residents, supported recruitment, amplified organizational initiatives, and reinforced the organization's commitment to compassionate care. By combining strategy with creative execution, each campaign contributed to stronger engagement with employees, families, and the communities Good Samaritan serves.
Perspective
Trust is earned long before a crisis. In healthcare, every story, campaign, and interaction either strengthens or weakens that trust. My work reinforced that effective healthcare communications aren't about simplifying complex issues—they're about helping people feel informed, respected, and confident in the care they receive.
The Opportunity
Good Samaritan supports seniors and adults with complex care needs across Alberta and British Columbia. As one of Western Canada's largest continuing care providers, the organization relies on thoughtful communication to strengthen resident relationships, celebrate employees, attract talent, and build trust with families, communities, and partners. My work supported these priorities through strategic storytelling and digital communications.

The Opportunity
Ever Active Schools works with educators, school communities, municipalities, and health partners across Alberta to create environments where children and youth can thrive. Communicating this work meant transforming research, programs, partnerships, and community initiatives into stories that celebrated impact, inspired action, and connected diverse audiences around a shared vision of healthy school communities.
How I helped
I led the organization's digital storytelling across social media, photography, video, web, publications, and campaign communications. Partnering with educators, researchers, and program teams, I developed integrated content that highlighted community impact, promoted province-wide initiatives, documented major events, and made complex health topics engaging and accessible for Alberta's education community.

What This Work
Reinforced
Health promotion succeeds when people see themselves in the story. Research and evidence are essential, but lasting engagement comes from translating ideas into stories that educators, families, and communities can connect with and act on.
